چکیده

In surveys, the interest lies in estimating finite population parameters such as totals and means. most some auxiliary information is available at estimation stage. This may be incorporated procedures to increase their precision. this article, we use random forests estimate functional relationship between survey variable variables. recent years, have become attractive National Statistical Offices now access a variety of data sources, potentially exhibiting large number observations on We establish theoretical properties model-assisted based derive corresponding variance estimators. A model-calibration procedure for handling multiple variables also discussed. The results simulation study suggest that proposed point perform well term bias, efficiency, coverage normal-based confidence intervals, wide settings. Finally, apply methods using radio audiences collected by M\'ediam\'etrie, French audience company.

Design Based Estimation of Finite Population Mean in Ranked Set Sampling

Abstract. This Article introduce method of ranked set sampling with replacement (RSSWR) in finite population and express how to computing samples of inclusion probability for this method. The Horvitz-Thompson and Hansen-Hurwtz estimators using auxiliary variables introduce for this design and use 2011-12 Urban Households Income and Income and Expenditure survey data, gathered for Tehran by stat...

Simple set cardinality estimation through random sampling

We present a simple algorithm for estimating the cardinality of a set I, based on a RandomSample(I) primitive that returns an element of I uniformly at random. Our algorithm with probability (1−perr) returns an estimate of |I| accurate within a factor (1 ± δerr) invoking RandomSample(I) at most O (

Single-Index Model-Assisted Estimation In Survey Sampling

A model-assisted semiparametric method of estimating finite population totals is investigated to improve the precision of survey estimators by incorporating multivariate auxiliary information. The proposed superpopulation model is a single-index model which has proven to be a simple and efficient semiparametric tool in multivariate regression. A class of estimators based on polynomial spline re...

Aggregated Recommendation through Random Forests

Aggregated recommendation refers to the process of suggesting one kind of items to a group of users. Compared to user-oriented or item-oriented approaches, it is more general and, therefore, more appropriate for cold-start recommendation. In this paper, we propose a random forest approach to create aggregated recommender systems. The approach is used to predict the rating of a group of users to...

A New Exponential Type Estimator for the Population Mean in Simple Random Sampling

‎In this paper‎, ‎a new estimate of exponential type of auxiliary information to help simple random sampling without replacement of the finite population mean is introduced‎. ‎This new estimator with a few other estimates using two real data sets are compared with the mean square error‎.
